Police support 2am close proposal

COOLANGATTA Police said they support a proposal to close pubs and clubs by 2am.

The measure is being considered by the Queensland Government in a bid to curb alcohol-related violence.

The reduction in trading hours is supported by the ambulance officers’ union, the Trauma Committee Australasian Royal College of Surgeons, and the Brisbane City Council.
