Police target Cooly for tests

COOLANGATTA was among three areas across Queensland where drivers returned positive drug tests at the weekend.

Police conducted traffic operations at Brisbane, St George and Coolangatta, with seven people from a possible 92 returning positive saliva tests.

MEANTIME a Banora Point man charged with three child sex offences is scheduled to appear at a Lismore court on April 21.

Police had initially indicated - as we reported on the Tweed Daily News front page story on February 25 - that the man would face the charges at Tweed Heads Local Court on Monday.
