Pothole angel puts up sign to keep drivers safe

CLEARLY concerned for the driving public, a Tweed Heads resident on Ducat Street has put up a large sign warning motorists about a large pothole.

The sign, made from cardboard and sporting a clear warning painted in white paint was spotted by My Daily News on Tuesday, July 23.

With all the recent rain, Tweed roads have felt the full brunt, potholes showing up left right and centre all over, some of which are large enough to swallow an entire car wheel.

Tweed Shire Council has been working to repair the holes, but the problem seems to be the same holes are opening up time and time again due to rain fall and traffic.
