Queensland homicide police search Lismore home

DETECTIVES investigating the murder of 37-year-old Shyam Dhody, at the Gold Coast suburb of Gilston on July 5, today executed a search warrant at Lismore.

Police from the Richmond Local Area Command assisted Gold Coast detectives to conduct the search of a house on Ballina Rd at Lismore Heights this morning.

A police dog and police rescue unit assisted in the search opposite the intersection with High St.

Queensland police media said several items of interest were seized for forensic examination.

Queensland Police have also searched a home on Bribie Island, north of Brisbane.

Investigations into the murder are continuing.
