Quiz your candidates at Banora Point forum

RESIDENTS will be given a rare opportunity to question all of the Richmond candidates during a public forum to be held at Banora Point next Monday.

The event is organised by the Banora Point and District Residents’ Association, which has organised similar functions for every federal, state and local government election since 2008.

BPDRA vice-president John Sweeney said the organisation was not aligned with any party, and was merely keen to provide an opportunity for residents to question the candidates prior to the July 2 poll.

“Our organisation has always been a non-political body. We do this because we want the community to be informed,” Mr Sweeney said.

The forum will be held 7-10pm on June 20, with a light supper provided. Entry by gold coin donation.

The breakfast meeting will be held at Greenhills on Tweed, 131 River St, South Murwillumbah.

Entry costs $30 and includes breakfast.
