Raiders down troops for game against Lower Clarence

LEAGUE-TAG: The Raiders are on a role, but this weekend's game is going to be a hard slog for the Cabarita-based club.

Tweed Coast head into Sunday's round-six clash against Lower Clarence with a depleted squad.

Coach Trudi Carter said her team would not have an interchange-bench for the game, with all players needing to play the full 50 minutes.

Lower Clarence sit at the bottom of the LLT Premiership table, with no wins and the worst defencive record in the competition.

But Raiders coach Carter said fatigue will make this Sunday's clash a tough one for her team.

"The key will be playing the game at our pace,” Carter said.

"We won't be playing with any substitutes so we need to play at our speed so we are not stuffed by the end of it.

"Clean passing, clean touches and a simple game plan will get us through.”

Carter said despite being low of troops for the round-six clash she believed her side was good enough to get the win and make it four on the trot.

"The the players we have I am confident we are fit enough to last the game out and I ma confident we can grind out a win.”

Kick-off for the round-six match will be Sunday at 10.45am, at the Ngayundi Yamba Sports Complex in Yamba.
