Rain halts third race meeting

TWEED River Jockey Club lost its third race meeting in three months to rain today.

The Murwillumbah track copped 22mm of rain overnight and the track was judged unsafe for racing this morning.

Club officials were shattered the anticipated Casella Wines Yellow Tail Cup day couldn't go ahead.

The club will apply to Racing NSW for a replacement race date.
