THE Rocks at Rainbow Beach can be a trap for vehicles, as the driver of this dual cab four wheel drive found out last week as he tried to reach Rainbow Beach from Double Island Point.

A beach-goers captured this image as the saga unfolded.

The driver sat there for a while before deciding to run the gauntlet, but drove into the gutter instead of sticking to the sand bank.
