Record breakers reunite for tour

TWO of Australia's most celebrated musicians are returning to the Tweed for one night in February to take listeners on a journey through five decades of hits.

Following their record-breaking Sharky and the Caddman tour in 2013, Glenn Shorrock and Brian Cadd will reunite on the Twin Towns stage, as part of their 2017 Australian tour.

Shorrock, a founding member of pop groups The Twilights and Axiom, is best known as the frontman of legendary Australian group Little River Band, from 1974-82.

His solo work includes the 1979 cover of Bobby Darin's Dream Lover, which peaked at number eight on the Australian charts, and 1983's We're Coming To Get You, which peaked at number six.

"We are really looking forward to heading back and performing to our many fans there," Shorrock said.

Cadd is one of Australia's most celebrated songwriters and was also part of Axiom with Shorrock.

He penned all of their hits including A Little Ray Of Sunshine and My Baby's Gone.

Joined by Axiom members Chris Stockley and drummer Doug Lavery, and featuring singer/guitarists Sam See and Glyn Mason, Shorrock and Cadd will again put on the magic, working through timeless smash hits such as Reminiscing, Ginger Man, Arkansas Grass, Cool Change, Help is on its Way and Don't You Know it's Magic.

Both artists have each recently released new albums and will also perform a few of these songs in the show.

"There is no question it's going to be a ton of fun, and we expect it will be another sell-out tour," Cadd said.
