Restaurant to host Christmas lunch

IT’S beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Bamboo Restaurant and Bar at Casuarina.

Award-winning chef Greg Pieper will be swapping his chef’s hat for a fluffy red one when he hosts a gourmet Christmas lunch on December 25.

Opening from 12.30pm to 2.30pm, the exclusive lunch will allow guests to indulge in a fine feast while enjoying the luxurious surrounds of Bamboo and Santai Resort.

“I have designed a special Christmas buffet for our diners this year,” said Mr Pieper.

“It will feature all of the traditional trimmings, from succulent meats such as turkey, pork and beef to colourful salads, vegetables, trifle and an array of sweet sensations. I have also sourced some of the region’s finest seafood and will incorporate everything from prawns, oysters, local fish and scallops into the buffet.”

Tickets to the Bamboo Christmas lunch are $130 per adult and $55 per child, aged between five and 12 years.

Mr Pieper snapped up a Chefs Hat in the 2009 Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide Awards and was also named Chef of the Year for a fourth consecutive year in the Gold Coast Magazine People’s Choice Awards.
