Retro food and fun for Tweed
WINTER is set to be warmed up when the Tweed turns retro for the Food Truck Picnic at Jack Evan’s Boat Harbour next Saturday.
An initiative of the Gold Coast Design Collective Market, the day will feature food vendors, new street food trucks, live music, performers and dancers, handmade and vintage stalls, plus vintage and retro cars, bikes, clothing and accessories.
Colourful Vintage vans will line the scenic harbour while offering a range of vast and delicious foods and there’ll be something for everyone, with a jumping castle and kids entertainment
The retro picnic marks a milestone for the collective, who bring the inaugural event to Jack Evan’s for the first time. The event will also support the Storybook Farm-Sacred Animal Garden, which will feature a kissing booth for photos with disabled animals.
Organiser Kat Creasey said the day had generated a lot of buzz, with plenty of interest coming from the Tweed and beyond.
The day kicks-off at 9am and runs through to 2pm.
