Richmond MP Justine Elliot slams TAFE cuts

In Federal parliament today, Richmond MP Justine Elliot slammed North Coast Nationals for the state government plans to sell TAFE campuses at Murwillumbah and Ballina.

Cabinet documents from the NSW Government show 27 TAFE sites across the state are earmarked for sale.

This sell off included the full sale of the Murwillumbah TAFE and a partial sale of the Ballina TAFE.

"This is a disgrace and I especially condemn the North Coast Nationals for these closures. It shows yet again that in regional and rural areas - the Nationals just can't be trusted," Mrs Elliot said.
