Ripper memories made at nippers
LIFE'S a beach for these Tweed Heads and Coolangatta Nippers.
Alex Stewart, Lauren Condon, Maddi Stewart, Connor Webster and Lachlan Webster, pictured, can't wait for summer to come around each year.
For them it means sun, surf and sand, and the opportunity to further develop their surf lifesaving skills while having bucket-loads of fun at the same time.
This weekend Queensland surf lifesaving clubs are holding a state-wide open day for interested youngsters to pop along and check out what Nippers is all about.
TH&C, Rainbow Bay, Coolang- atta, Kirra, North Kirra, Bilinga and Tugun SLSCs will all open their doors for the public from 9am, and Saturday.
“It's a good excuse to get to the beach and promises to be a really fun day,” said TH&C's Megan Stewart.
“There will be a lot of fun displays to educate people on the variety of things we do, a sausage sizzle, and plenty of free give- aways.”
Sign-ons will also be held at each of the clubs.
