Riva Vue ideal for growing family

LONG-serving community volunteers Kathy and Lionel Alexander have rewarded themselves with a new home in Murwillumbah after 30 years in their old one. Their expanding family is typical of many families moving into the Riva Vue estate.

The couple, who have been active in the community for decades playing leading rolls in local footfall clubs, found their home of 30 years could not support the growth of their expanding family – so moved to the new housing estate..

“We have always wanted to live at Riva Vue, and with our family expanding and our old home bursting at the seams, we decided it was the perfect time to make the move,” said Mrs Alexander.

Kathy has worked at the Southern Cross Credit Union for 14 years, and husband Lionel at Tweed Shire Council.

Over the past 25 years the community-minded couple have spent their spare time running the local touch football club, with Lionel the chairman of the board at the Murwillumbah Leagues Club.

“We have always enjoyed giving back to our wonderful community.

"We both grew up here and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else,” she said.

“Murwillumbah has a real sense of community spirit that we love, something that we couldn’t wait to share with our one-year-old grandson.”
