Roll up, roll up: Auditions open for Midsummer

MURWILLUMBAH Theatre Company are set to start their year with a stage classic, Midsummer Night's Dream.

The story of four lovers, some mischievous forest fairies who dabble in match making and a group of amateur actors determined to impressive royalty will come to life on stage.

Auditions are kicking off this Tuesday at 7pm in the Canvas and Kettle Room next to Murwillumbah Civic Centre.

Twenty one roles are up for grabs for both male and females of all ages spanning lead roles through to minor non speaking roles.

Being performed in the traditional style and language of Shakespeare the play will not have any roles for children.

With rehearsals commencing on February 8, the shows themselves will be performed from May 23 through to June 8 on Fridays and weekends.
