Rubber ducks swamp Cudgen Creek on race day

CUDGEN creek was swamped with rubber ducks on Sunday for the annual duck race.

The event is part of the Rotary Club's initiative to support the Tweed Shire Council's plans to upgrade the Ed Parker Rotary Park.

With the great success of last year's event selling 800 ducks it was the challenge to beat that this year and they did with 1000 ducks sold and double the amount of spectators.

The race winner in the corporate event was BCU Tweed Heads with best dressed going to Tropical Fruit World's duck called Carmen Miranduck.
