Ryan Briscoe will dedicate IndyCar win to former teammate
INDYCAR driver Ryan Briscoe already knows exactly what he will do with the trophy if he happens to win at this weekend's V8 Supercars Gold Coast 600.
The Aussie was due to drive in the same team as fellow IndyCar star Dan Wheldon on the Gold Coast last year, but the popular Brit was killed in a horror crash in the Las Vegas Indy 300 just days earlier.
"If I was to win the trophy, it would certainly go up next to one of the helmets I've got of his," Briscoe told SPEEDTV.com.
"We did a helmet swap last year after the Indy 500, which he obviously won. I put his helmet on a mantlepiece at home and I'd put that trophy along next to it ... we miss him."
