Salt salesman moving on

SELLING a record $6 million beachfront home on the Tweed Coast is just one of Salt Village Real Estate principal Andrew Ladd's fond memories of the area.

Mr Ladd, who joined the Salt Village team in late 2007, is returning to Melbourne to live and work.

He began his career with Salt Village developer Ray Group in project sales at Mount Hotham, and has played an integral part in Salt Village, first as director of absolute beachfront sales then as principal and licensee.

“The past 12 months has been a very exciting time for Salt Village Real Estate,” Mr Ladd said.

“The office has transitioned from project sales into a full-service real estate agency dedicated exclusively to residents and owners at Salt Village.”

During his time at Salt Village Mr Ladd has overseen the launch and sale of the village's final residential precincts as well as being involved in the pre-sales campaign for an upcoming release of residential villas.

He also achieved a number of record deals, including the sale of a luxury beachfront home in North Point Avenue for $6 million.

Despite the turbulent economic climate, Mr Ladd said he has enjoyed helping the village's resale business grow from nothing to an established and thriving brokerage and property management business.

“I have really enjoyed working at Salt Village and living on the Tweed Coast, and am very proud of the dedicated and hard-working team of individuals who are all passionate about Salt Village and its future,” Mr Ladd said.

Salt Village is one of the Tweed's most successful coastal communities, having posted land, house and apartment sales totalling more than $500 million over the past four years.

The community currently comprises approximately 250 houses, a retail precinct and three world-class resorts.

Ray Group is now searching for a new principal for Salt Village Real Estate.

Applications for the role, comprising a brief cover letter and resume, should be sent to no later than 5pm this Friday.

The successful applicant will lead Salt Village Real Estate's enthusiastic team and would ideally have leadership and sales experience in the real estate industry in a similar role, along with prior experience within a master-planned development, a current NSW or Queensland sales certificate and a current full real estate licence.
