Samsung reveals its new SUHD TVs in Las Vegas
SAMSUNG has revealed its new range of televisions at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
The new SUHD TVs are Samsung's latest generation of Ultra-High Definition televisions that aim are both a notch up in terms of capabilities but also comply with new UHD standards.
Most importantly from the announcement is that the new SUHD technology comes with agreements for technology-capable content.
Netflix, Disney, Panasonic, Samsung and a number of other companies have joined forces to ensure that the powerful new UHD 'ecosystem' stays healthy , unlike the experience of people who purchased 3D TVs only for the required content to never quite arrive.
The new SUHD TVs are designed to output 4k to 8k resolutions (at least 3840×2160 pixels) and claim 64 times more colour expression and twice the brightness of a 2014 Samsung LED TV.
Samsung has also announced a global content partnership with 20th Century Fox, Amazon, Netflix and more to bring 500 UHD titles to Samsung TVs.
MILK VR has also come aboard to bring streaming 360 degree video for the Samsung Gear VR.
