School cleaner charged with sexual assault of boys

A SCHOOL cleaner who allegedly preyed on young students has been arrested in Sydney.

Detectives from the Child Abuse Squad arrested a 60-year-old at his home at Kogarah on Friday.

The cleaner, who is contracted to a Sutherland Shire primary school, is accused of sexually assaulting three boys aged 10 and 11 on school grounds between April and October this year.

He was charged with six counts of aggravated indecent assault and refused bail.

A police spokesperson said detectives had been working closely with the Department of Education and all parents would be informed.
