Schools battle for O'Dwyer Shield

ST JAMES’ Ethan Simpson, 10, found himself in plenty of open space against St Joseph’s last Thursday as the two teams battled it for the fourth annual O’Dwyer Shield.

A full contingent of Gold Coast Titans stars watched from the sidelines as future stars put their bodies on the line for the prestigious prize, and all were impressed with what they saw.

Two games were contested, but in the end it the was the hosts, St James, who proved too good on the day, taking out the under-10s 20-0 and opens 16-6, to complete the double.
