Scooting in $100 million through the Gold Coast Airport

THE Singapore owned airline Scoot has boosted the region's economy by $100 million, News Limited has reported.

The airline has delivered about 50,000 passengers to the Gold Coast Airport the since the airline opened last year.

Almost three quarters have come from Asia, News reported.

The airline flies into the airport five times a week, but plans to increase flights to six times at Christmas.
