Seagulls sprinkled with Sea Salt
SYLVESTER Coutinho, the chef and owner of award-winning Sea Salt Ristorante at Salt believes not only in the adage that “two heads are better than one” but two restaurants also bring double success.
To that end, the renowned chef has linked with Seagulls to open a new restaurant where he can show off his culinary skills and delight the palates of discerning diners. Mr Coutinho, who honed his skills serving diners at five-star hotels around the world, has created a menu in tune with the laid-back atmosphere of his new Stars Cafe and Bistro.
“We want to make Stars the talk of the town,” Mr Coutinho, who will spread his culinary talents across both of his restaurants, said.
Seagulls group CEO Luke Simmons said Stars Cafe would stand out for its quality food at reasonable prices.
“We've brought Sylvester Coutinho and his team in to create this new bistro because of their award-winning track record and reputation of making the most of fabulous fresh local produce,” Mr Simmons said.
Mr Coutinho has 35 years' experience in the hospitality industry. . He opened his Sea Salt Italian restaurant in June 2006 at Salt Village, winning the northern and regional awards in the best restaurant category in 2008.
