Search for missing Cessna in Kybong finds pilot unharmed

THE Sunshine Coast based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked by AusSAR to help search for a missing Cessna in the Kybong area this morning.

The Pilot of the Cessna made an emergency call after suffering engine troubles and was forced to make an emergency landing in a nearby paddock.

Within three minutes of the Cessna landing, the RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was on scene to assist the Pilot who thankfully was uninjured in the incident.

CareFlight's medical team assessed the man and then the crew returned to base.
