Police continue desperate search for missing Tweed Coast man
POLICE have been scouring the Rous River at Dulguigan after a missing Tweed Coast man's car was found there.
Tweed/Byron LAC Inspector Adrian Telfer said police and SES volunteers spent more time searching for 65-year-old Clive Easton from Bogangar on Wednesday.
"We re-searched the river today," Insp Telfer said.
"We're searching the entire river."
With no new information about Mr Easton's whereabouts since his white van was found on Dulguigan Rd earlier this week, Insp Telfer said his family was desperate for answers.

POLICE have appealed for help in finding a missing Tweed Coast man.
Clive Easton, 65, left his Bogangar home at 6.15am Monday.
When he hadn't returned home by 11am, his wife contacted police.
Mr Easton's white Volkswagen Transporter van was later found beside the Rous River on Dulguigan Rd, Dulguigan.
Police searched the area, but could not find the missing man.
On Tuesday, Police, SES, Surf Life Saving, Marine Rescue and Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter crews took part in a full-scale land search, to no avail.
Police said the search for Mr Easton was continuing.
They have appealed for anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact Tweed Heads Police Station on 07 5536 0999 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Mr Easton is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 160-170cm tall, balding, with grey hair and a grey goatee.
When last seen, he was wearing a black Peak-brand wetsuit and grey tracksuit pants.
