Seeking film history help

A COOLANGATTA filmmaker wants help for his next film project.

Award-winning filmmaker Simon Saffigna wants historical footage of his home town Coolangatta.

His latest project will be a documentary about the area where he grew up.

"I grew up here with some of the best surfers in the world.

"I did a film project called 3 Degrees with Mick Fanning, Joel Parkinson and Dean Morrison about a year in the WCT together," he said.

Mr Saffigna said he picked up a camera because he wanted to travel the world with his mates and film their exploits.
