THE Forensic Crash Unit is continuing its investigation into a traffic crash that took the life of a 75-year-old Buderim woman last night.

Initial investigations indicate that around 8.50pm, a vehicle collided with another on the Sunshine Motorway at Coolum Beach, approximately one kilometere north of the Coolum roundabout.

The woman, driver and sole occupant of one vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Four occupants in the other vehicle received treatment on-scene for non-life-threatening injuries.

A local resident, who was caught in traffic on the motorway, said the car was quickly a blaze.

A video, sent to the Daily, shows fire units quickly responding to the inferno.

It was believed their car caught fire soon after the crash.
