NSW Service Centre in Tweed Heads South proves popular

TWEED MP Geoff Provest says more than 45,000 customers were served in six months at Tweed's Service NSW centre, which opened in August.

This averages roughly 250 customers a day, or 7500 customers per month.

"Customers have embraced the new service and we are delivering on our promise for easier access to government services, fast service and a single point of contact," Mr Provest said.

Service NSW chief executive officer Glenn King was also pleased with the results.

"Our journey has only just begun and we have been using feedback from local communities to provide even better services to customers," he said.

Since opening the centre at 13-17 Rivendell, Tweed Heads South, a number of extra transactions have been added, including NSW Seniors Card services and Housing NSW transactions.
