SES host flood safe meeting in Murwillumbah tonight

MURWILLUMBAH is no stranger to floods, so the NSW State Emergency Service is hosting a FloodSafe information evening tonight (Thursday) to inform residents how they can be prepared.

The evening will include tips on reading the Bureau of Meteorology's forecasts and applying the information to the Murwillumbah area.

Attendees will get information about the town's levee and learn how to understand river heights, properly read river gauges and how to prepare for floods and bad weather.

A Business FloodSafe Toolkit will be provided to all businesses attending tonight's session, which will be held at 6pm at Murwillumbah Services Club.
