SES pleads with residents to keep emergency lines free
THE SES is reminding residents not to call them unless it's an emergency.
Teams have been busy responding to high numbers of call outs.
While the sun may be shining, there's still plenty of flood water lying about.
If you are in an emergency situation, call 000 or the SES on 132 500.
If you're simply looking for more information, contact the SES's public information inquiry centre.
They can advise general flood and road closure details and are on 1800 227 228.
These photos just in show cars submerged at Chinderah and roads clearly still cut around the shire.
That includes Murwillumbah which remains inaccessible by car as of 2.30pm today.
