Thunderstorm warning for entire Northern Rivers

UPDATE 3.22PM: The entire Northern Rivers is now covered in the latest thunderstorm warning from the Bureau of Meteorology.

Issued at 3:22 pm Tuesday, 13 October 2015.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce large hailstones, heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding and damaging winds in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Lismore, Grafton, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, Taree, Armidale, Tamworth, Gunnedah, Moree, Narrabri, Walgett and Lightning Ridge.

The next warning is due to be issued by 6:25 pm.

UPDATE: A SEVERE weather warning has been expanded to include more of the Northern Rivers for large hailstones, heavy rainfall and damaging wind.

Locations which may be affected include Grafton, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, Taree, Armidale, Tamworth, Gunnedah, Moree and Narrabri.

INITIAL REPORT: The Bureau of Meterology has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for large hailstones and damaging winds for the Northern Tablelands and parts of the Northern Rivers and Mid North Coast.
