Severe thunderstorm warning issued
A SEVERE thunderstorm warning has been issued for the Queensland east coast from Coolangatta to as far north as Fraser Island with damaging winds predicted for the next few hours.
Emergency Management Queensland has advised people to move their cars under cover, secure loose outdoor items, seek shelter indoors and avoid using the telephone.
