Sex and the City: Verdict

THE new Sex and the City movie is like the Cosmopolitan cocktails its stars love to sip – mostly sweet with a little citrus tang.

Contrary to scathing reviews of the film, I really enjoyed it.

For me, it was on the same level as the first movie, entertaining and glamorous.

While some critics have said the film lacked story, I enjoyed the general themes of fun, fashion and friendship.

The plot centres around Carrie having marriage woes, Charlotte coping with kids, Miranda being bullied at work and Samantha trying to stay young.

There’s only one or two cringe-worthy moments, but overall it’s well worth a look if you enjoyed the first flick.

I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars.
