Sharks sink Storm for first time in four years

CRONULLA ended its Melbourne Storm hoodoo with a 14-6 victory at Southern Cross Group Stadium on Monday night.

The Sharks entered the Round 4 NRL clash having lost their past five meetings with the Storm by an average of 24 points.

The win was Cronulla's first over the Storm since 2012, and just their second since a one-point victory in Round 2, 2008.

The win ended the Storm's perfect start to 2016 - now with three wins, one loss alongside the Bulldogs, Broncos, Titans and Eels.

The Sharks are now 2-2 with a win over the Dragons in Round 2 and losses to the Sea Eagles and Cowboys.

Melbourne's Marika Koroibete was put on report for an alleged trip on Cronulla's Chad Townsend in the 60th minute.
The ensuing penalty from James Maloney sealed the eight-point win.
