Shearer accepts challenge of sheep with three years wool
Josh Stewart must have felt an extra twinge in his back when he saw two of his customers roll up on the weekend for a haircut.
The Newstead shearer often shears the odd pet sheep but nothing like these two "bale -fillers", which hadn't seen a blade for at least three years.

The two first-cross wethers had kept a low profile and been missed by their owners until now, Josh said.
"When they came off the trailer they didn't need any persuasion to come into the shed," he said. "You could tell they really wanted a hair cut."
The sheep pictured had the most wool and took quite a while to get him sheep-shape, he said.

At least Josh gets the proceeds from the two fleeces, which hopefully will keep him in Dencorub for a while.
