Short Stack Sanity-bound
SHORT Stack are being served up on a silver platter to Tweed fans.
To celebrate the release of the first single from their white-hot second album This Is Bat Country the band members will be appearing at Tweed City Sanity.
The musicians will be signing copies of their newest single Planets tomorrow.
Short Stack comprises Shaun Diviney on vocals and guitar, Andy Clemmensen on bass and Bradie Webb on drums.
The band has come a long way since they formed in 2005.
Tweed City marketing manager Megan Connellan said this was an event not to be missed.
“We are hoping to have a lot of people come along and we have put on extra security,” Ms Connellan said.
“This is the biggest music act we have at Tweed City this year.
“It’s very exciting to have them here.”
Ms Connellan said the band would be fresh-faced when they arrive to meet Tweed fans.
“We are very fortunate to be one of the first stops on the tour so the band will be fresh,” Ms Connellan said.
“Sanity is located next to the food court so we are expecting that area to be very busy.
“We encourage Short Stack fans to come along and meet the band this Saturday.”
Tweed Short Stack fans can look forward to meeting their musical idols at 3pm.
Short Stack toured non-stop in 2007 and then exploded with national headline sell-out tours in 2009 and 2010.
The band then performed a sold-out show at Sydney’s iconic Opera House in April. Short Stack is an Australian pop punk band, formed in Budgewoi in NSW.
The band has climbed to the top of the Aria charts and will now bring their unique presence to the Tweed region.
Short Stack will visit a number of Sanity venues during their signing tour including Ballina, Lismore, Port Macquarie, Taree, Indooroopilly, Greenhills and Grafton.
The band has been labelled a teen phenomenon and recently announced they will perform at the Australian Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
Short Stack’s new single Planets will be available on September 24
