New cast boasts some fabbalous songs

IT's ABBAsolutely fABBAulous and we can't get enough of it.

That's right, the Swedish sweethearts are still big business - thanks to a little movie/stage show called Mamma Mia - and since they have turned down obscene amounts of money to reform we have to make do with the next best thing.

In this case it's the Abbasolutely fABBAulous show, returning to Twin Towns, Friday and Saturday this week from 8pm (Qld time) with a new cast and all of our favourites.

Taking charge of this particular awesome foursome is Jamie Anderson, an original member of ABBAsolutely fABBAulous. Based in Europe, Jamie takes on the role of keyboardist Benny Anderson.

Joining Jamie on stage for this show will be Italian born Carmela Fortein taking on the role of Anni-Frid (Frida) Lyngstad.

Carmella has been Musical Director for the Australian Grease show and has been involved in almost every facet of the entertainment industry singing everything from classical, rock, pop and coutry over the years.

Her musical partner in song Agnetha Faltskog (the blonde one) will be played by Australia's own Sophie Phillis.

Sophie is nothing if not diverse performing in the Brisbane-made TV series Fire, the musical Jesus Christ Superstar and touring as part of the support act for Human Nature. More recently she appeared on Australian Idol.

Rounding out the fABBAulous four is the Danish born singer/songwriter and guitarist David Thompson as Bjorn Ulvaeus.
