Showcasing all the Tweed has to offer tourists

DESTINATION Tweed is hosting a free seminar for tourism operators on Monday, March 25 where they can learn more about the Legendary Pacific Coast (TLPC) touring route.

The route which stretches from Brisbane to Sydney has many attractions with great places to stay and plenty of things to do.

Destination Tweed is in a prime position to benefit from the national and international exposure that the TLPC project is generating.

TLPC Chair, Belinda Novicky and Project Co-Ordinator, Kim McDonald will be there to meet local operators and discuss marketing activities that have been utilised over the past 12 months and what is to be planned for the future.

"The aim of the TLPC project is to spread the economic benefits of tourism to regional areas like the Tweed by encouraging drivers to take their time travelling between Sydney and Brisbane, stopping to explore the rural and coastal communities along the way," Destination Tweed CEO Bill Tatchell said.

"The Tweed is well profiled in the suggested touring trails but there are a lot of other opportunities that individual operators could be taking advantage of, by offering special deals and listing their accommodation."

The free seminar will be held at Tumbulgum Tavern on Monday, March 25 from 5.30pm to 6.30pm. For bookings, phone TLPC Project Co-Ordinator Kim McDonald on 02-6550 5136 or 0428 744 006.
