Skye is the limit this New Year's

IT'S not often you can hear high-class opera, heart-felt soul and foot-tapping classic rock anthems all performed live in one afternoon.

Let alone played by one artist, and on New Year's Eve no less.

Brisbane-based solo musician Abby Skye will do just this from 4-7pm (NSW) at Twin Towns Services Club.

Her well-worn six-string guitar will take you on a musical journey through the classics mixed with moments of soulful acoustic melodies and superb operatic vocals.

"It's about connecting with the audience, feeling the music and all having a good time together," Ms Skye said.

She has been entertaining crowds across Australia for 15 years.

And with her unique solo show the multi-talented singer hopes to share with the audience her passion for music and its power to bring people together.

Ms Skye launched her career at the tender age of 14 as part of a Melbourne-based duo and over the past decade has released three albums - her latest a compilation covering songs from other artists.

She recently headlined a free community Remembrance Day concert at Brisbane's St John's Cathedral, which is soon to be released as a live concert on DVD.
