Slipper back to voting in Parliament
PETER Slipper appeared to enjoy his new found freedom sitting on the crossbench.
The Member for Fisher voted with both Labor and the Coalition on Thursday, two days after he resigned as Speaker.
He voted with the government as a string of clean energy bills passed the lower house, including one linking Australia's carbon price to Europe's from 2015.
He also voted with the government on four private members' motions.
Mr Slipper sat with the Coalition for another four private members' motions, relating to a range of matters including pension assistance and carbon pricing.
