So many dogs, not enough races

IT'S Coolangatta Surf Club Day at Border Park Raceway this afternoon, and the greyhounds are ready for action.

A 10-race program is set down and there were so many nominations some trainers had to miss out!

The first race is heat one of the Maiden, so not an easy one to kick off with, but the Keith Boan trained Ivory Spy looks good in its second start.

It raced well in its first outing to finish second, and should be too good ahead of Dayseas Annie and Castle.

In the second, Mukussu Mann and Super Surfer are likely to fill the top two spots, but the question is, in what order? Marville Prince will fill third spot.

Race three is heat one of the fifth grade, and Woodsman is likely to go off the inside ahead of Bonnie Sal and Spanish Mover, while in Race 4, the Maiden final, Utter Chaos will come out in front of Little Scout and Dufus Bob.

The fifth is a fifth grade 520m and I will have to go with Prove Yourself ahead of Bility Diamond and Mr Imagination.

In race six, the fourth and fifth grade 520m, Diamond Series loves this track, but will have to watch out for Carmella Tycoon if it jumps, and Miss Carruthers.

In the seventh, the Novice final, Max Result from the inside box is likely to beat the Jo Price-trained Suzie Be Good and Yolee, while in race eight its Carmilla Rose for John Falvey over Farmer's Bond and Elaine's Magic.

Patriotic Boy is the one to watch in race nine ahead of India Star and Appleby, and in the lucky last I'll have Mocker over Oxley County and Twin Finn.

Full on-course and interstate betting facilities are available in the club's undercover auditorium.
