Son's plea: help find my mum
THE estranged son of missing woman Carol Anderson has come forward begging the public for new information on her disappearance.
Ms Anderson, 70, walked out of the Palms Caravan Park in Tweed Heads South, where she is a resident, about 1.40pm on Friday, November 11, sparking a two-day land and river search.
Stephen McGee, Ms Anderson's son, only discovered his mother was missing yesterday and will travel from Brisbane to Tweed this morning.
He said he had been estranged from his mother for 10 years and had been devastated to find details of her disappearance on the My Daily News website.
"It hasn't really sunk in yet," Mr McGee said.
"We've been estranged for 10 years, but it doesn't mean I don't care."
Mr McGee said the photo of his mother that was circulated after her disappearance was taken when she was much younger.
He said she could be going by her maiden name, Carol McGee.
If you have any information that could assist police in locating Ms Anderson contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
