South American foods that trigger the travel bug
TWEED residents searching for adventure should head along to the World Expeditions Brazilian feast at the Na Brasa Authentic Brazilian Barbecue restaurant, Broadbeach on February 27.
Australian adventure travel company World Expeditions will be hosting the 6.30pm dinner and those who attend can find out more about travelling to South America for a variety of unique experiences.
A World Expeditions spokesperson said the night would focus on the food and culture of destinations such as Peru, Ecuador and Brazil.
"Anybody that's interested in South American culture and travelling should come along," the spokesperson said.
"South America has really emerged as a culinary destination."
To reflect that, the feast will include unlimited servings of 16 cuts of different meats and accompaniments to give an example of the widely different types of South American cuisine.
"It adds another dimension when we can be social and talk about the diversity of the locations on offer," she said.
"We don't just go to a country, we incorporate an activity such as trekking or cycling. It's a way to have an authentic experience in the country."
The feast will cost $29 per person and bookings are essential
