Speed zone overhaul

MURWILLUMBAH Rd has been included in an overhaul of speed zones across NSW.

NSW Roads Minister Duncan Gay said the review was carried out as part of the government’s commitment to reduce “annoying” speed zone changes.

“Earlier this year we announced we would be looking at changes to speed zones and speed signs,” he said.

“The number of speed zone changes has been decreased with the Lismore Murrwillumbah Rd between Lismore and Murrwillumbah dropping from 19 to12 speed zone changes.

“The speed zone reviews were carried out on a range of state managed and local council managed roads across the state.”
