Fingal woman rubs shoulders with stars at LA G'Day bash
FINGAL'S Carmel Glenane has been rubbing shoulders with the stars, attending the G'Day USA black-tie dinner in LA this week.
Carmel managed to grab some snaps with the celebrities too, including this one with actor Geoffrey Rush who is starring in just-released flick The Book Thief.
"It was sublime and a night of high energy with Australians at their best celebrating in the style we know and love," Carmel told the Daily News from the US this week.
Carmel, the owner of Atlantis Rising Healing Centre in Coolangatta, spent the night networking and spruiking the Tweed.
Carmel's invitation to the event came from Ken Davis, a consultant to her business who is an international composer and performer of environmental music.
It was Ken's sixth time at the event.
The pair both went on to well-known Joshua Tree Retreat, where Carmel gave lectures and Ken performed on a crystal baby grand piano.
Carmel, a specialist in counselling, has published four books and was promoting her fifth at the event.
