Sports stars launch benefit lunch
SCOTT Prince from Gold Coast Titans, Karmichael Hunt from the Gold Coast Suns and Michael Thwaites from Gold Coast United will launch a benefit lunch for the family of a late Gold Coast detective today.
The three sports stars will launch the Damian Leeding Benefit Lunch to be held on August 17 at Jupiters Hotel and Casino.
Senior Constable Damian Leeding was shot when he responded to an armed robbery at Pacific Pines Tavern on May 29.
He died a few days later in hospital.
The lunch is a fundraiser for Sen Const Leeding’s family and other police charities.
