Spurs kick Real out of top spot

FOOTBALL: Tottenham have ensured they will top their UEFA Champions League group after a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund in Germany.

Spurs had already qualified for the last 16 but goals from Harry Kane and Son Heung Min confirmed they relegated Real Madrid to second in their group, although the Spaniards defeated Apoel Nicosia 6-0 in Cyprus.

Manchester City also topped their group after a 1-0 home win over Dutch champions Feyenoord.

Liverpool will have to wait to confirm their qualification for the knockout stages after throwing away a 3-0 lead in Spain, drawing 3-3 with Sevilla.

Two goals from Roberto Firmino and one from Sadio Mane put them in total control but they let the home side back in and paid the price for some poor defending.
