Adopt-a-Family appeal a success

STAFF at the Tweed Daily News have once again dug deep for our Adopt-a-Family appeal.

We proudly “adopted” two families – a single pensioner woman and a family with a single mum and four young children.

On top of hampers full of non-perishable food, presents and Christmas goodies, we were also able to contribute a total of $175 in Coles vouchers thanks to a raffle run in office.

Special thanks goes to Suncoast Wholesale Meats, in Tweed Heads, for the ham and seafood raffle prizes, and to Hair It Is Hair and Beauty in Murwillumbah for gifting their services to the female pensioner.

And once again, a big thank-you to everyone who participated in the appeal.
