Star performers take centre stage
THE renowned acoustics of Tyalgum Hall will be called upon again this month when opera singers Lachlan Baker and Liza Beamish take to the stage for An Evening To Remember.
The duo will perform some of the world's most famous musical pieces, sharing the stage with two of Australia's most talented ballroom dancers, Rhett Salmon and Emma Lee.
The town is no stranger to world class performances with Hearts Aflame Productions staging the Tyalgum Dance Spectacular and The Lives of Me: Untold Peter Allen Stories last year.
Hearts Aflame Productions marketing manager Solar Chapel said the performance was expected to attract another sell-out crowd.
"The Tyalgum Hall is a fantastic resource for a village like ours," Mr Chapel said.
"The building materials and design combine to deliver an acoustic quality that has been compared to some of the world's leading concert venues.
"Every year, it hosts the Tyalgum Festival of Classical Music and Hearts Aflame wants to build on that by staging top quality concerts and performances throughout the year.
"These events bring a lot of people to Tyalgum who have never been here before.
"Many of them have since returned to stay for a few days and explore further afield, so it's really helping to generate awareness of and attract tourists to the whole region."
Dinner and show packages for An Evening to Remember on February 24 are priced from $75 per person, including a two-course dinner at Flutterbies Cottage Cafe.
Dinner will be served at 6pm (NSW), followed by the show at 8pm.
