Stay safe, stay in school
TWEED Byron police officers have cited personal safety of students and a recent increase in shoplifting as the reasons for a major focus on truancy.
Over the last two weeks a skate park in Tweed Heads South and the Tweed City Shopping Centre have been targeted by police.
Police have reminded students that they must not leave school during school hours without an appropriate leave pass.
